Founder & Managing Attorney | Trademark Protection, Business Growth, & Branding

Legal excellence built on integrity, vision, and real partnership.

At its core, protecting your brand or launching your next venture starts with a simple, essential step: a conversation.

Guided by compassion, integrity, and a commitment to excellence, I help entrepreneurs and growing companies turn big ideas into protected, high-value assets. My approach begins with listening—truly understanding your business vision so we can move forward with pragmatic, results-focused solutions. Rather than focusing solely on legal hurdles, I prioritize getting to “yes” together.

Recognition

Bringing over two decades of experience across top global law firms, executive leadership, and tech entrepreneurship—including more than five years of intensively focusing on clients’ trademark issues—I view trademark law through a practical business lens. Instead of dealing with fragmented legal advice, you gain a dedicated, one-stop partner committed to guiding every stage of your brand’s lifecycle:

  • Clearance & Strategy — Assessing risk and building a clean, defensible foundation.
  • Registration & Portfolio Growth — Securing and expanding your assets locally and globally.
  • Office Action Response — Navigating USPTO objections with a strategic, well-reasoned reply to keep your application on track.
  • Ongoing Brand Counsel — A trusted legal partner as your business scales.
  • Cross-Border Trademark Guidance — Helping international businesses navigate U.S. filing requirements as they enter the American market.

Brand protection isn’t just a legal formality—it’s a core strategic investment. I’m here to secure your intellectual property so you can focus on building the future with absolute confidence.

Personal Touch

When I’m not helping clients protect their brands or navigating legal matters, you can find me out on my bike, traveling and exploring new cultures, attempting stand-up comedy, or trying (and continually failing) to Marie Kondo my overflowing closet.

Trademark Experience

I have handled dozens of trademark matters on my own and overseen a team of professionals who have handled many more. My experience spans clearance, application filing, USPTO office action responses, opposition proceedings, and international brand protection.

A couple of matters I’m particularly proud of:

  • While filing a trademark for a client, the application was opposed by a global pharmaceutical company. I successfully negotiated a deal with them that allowed my client’s trademark application to move forward successfully.
  • I filed two multi-class trademark applications for a tour company client and guided them through a complex USPTO Office Action involving both specimen and classification issues — anticipating the questions they’d have and addressing them before they had to ask.
  • I ran a thorough clearance search for a client, gave them my honest assessment of the risks, and filed their application. When they later needed extensions for their statement of use, I handled those as well — making sure they understood what was happening and why at every step.
  • I am currently representing a well-known online dating coach navigating a crowded field of similar marks. Beyond clearing a path to registration, I’m helping him build a multi-brand portfolio strategy — determining what to trademark and how the individual marks work together as a comprehensive whole.
